The MAYA is version of the Acoustic Bass first developed in 2015. Its basic concept transposes the body-length proportions of the classical guitar (at a scale of about 25.5 inches) to that of the string length of the bass (34 inches). In short, the body length of the Maya is 26 inches and its acoustic response is strong and balanced, although by definition and size, it is still far from the tonality of the gigantic double bass instrument. The MAYA is thus a happy in-between sized instrument aimed at composition, studio recording, hands-on practice, with the ability to be amplified via its neck humbucker.
